aiapiindex.com — an independent AI API reference

AI API Index puts the prices, specifications and benchmark results of the world's major AI APIs on one page, so developers and teams can compare models without opening a dozen pricing pages. It covers eight categories: LLMs, image generation, video generation, image editing, speech-to-text, text-to-speech, embeddings and music generation.

Where the data comes from

• Prices are standard-tier list prices taken from each provider's official pricing page (OpenAI, Anthropic, Google, xAI, DeepSeek and others). Cached-input, batch and volume discounts are not applied unless noted.
• Quality scores prefer independent measurements: the Artificial Analysis Intelligence Index and arena Elo ratings, the LMArena leaderboard dataset (CC BY 4.0), and the MTEB embedding leaderboard. Where only provider-reported numbers exist, they are marked with an asterisk (*).
• Speed figures are Artificial Analysis rolling median measurements (output tokens per second).

How often it updates

Every page shows a “data as of” date. Benchmark indices and speeds are refreshed from independent sources every few days; new models and price changes are verified against official pages by hand before being added. The full change record for prices is public in price-history.json.

Open data

The site's dataset is published as machine-readable JSON — prices.json (current) and price-history.json (changes over time) — under CC BY 4.0 with attribution to aiapiindex.com.

Independence

AI API Index is not affiliated with, sponsored by, or endorsed by any AI provider. Rankings are computed from the data alone; no placement is paid. The site is supported by advertising (see the privacy policy for details).
